Some of my earliest and favorite childhood memories are centered around food. I vividly remember the early morning sunlight flaring my eyes when I walk the garden with my grandfather picking tomatoes, and the tactile sensation of flour and eggs between my fingers when I made cookies with my mother. This was my inspiration in creating social content for Vitamix Kid Tested, Kid Approved.
Working with real people and not actors, I filmed much of each spot from indirect angles so that our cast was less aware of the camera and could just settle into making a meal together. For these spots, I felt a stronger style was to film from three-quarter angles and create dynamic following angles where we line up behind the kids as they enter the kitchen or search the garden for fresh ingredients.
